Have you heard of Apple AirPrint printers

It’s a technology created by Apple Inc. that allows users to print documents and photos without installing additional software. You can print from any Apple device to any machine that’s AirPrint compatible.

There were only 12 printers that were compatible with AirPrint when it was first launched in 2010. It grew to 6,000 printer models from 24 different manufacturers ten years later.

That made it a lot more convenient, but also confusing. With so many Apple AirPrint printers to choose from, how do you pick the right one?

To save you the trouble of sifting through thousands of printer models, we’ll share with you what we think are the best printers you can use with AirPrint.

  1. HP OfficeJet 250
  2. Canon PIXMA TS9520
  3. Konica Minolta BIZHUB 808
  4. Toshiba E-Studio 5506AC
  5. Canon PIXMA TR8520

Let’s dive in.

Type of Printer Inkjet
No. of Trays 2

HP OfficeJet 250 is on the larger side of printers, but it is only 6.5 lbs which makes it relatively easy to carry around. Its bulk is also compensated by a lot of other noteworthy features.

First is the inclusion of AirPrint, which makes wireless printing for Apple hardware owners super easy. But that doesn’t mean Android and Windows owners will be left in the cold. This printer also has Wi-Fi Direct and Bluetooth Smart Technology that allow wireless printing for Android and Windows owners. You can also choose to print via a USB connection.

The printer’s settings can be changed from the downloadable HP Smart app for both Android and iOS. Then, you can print, edit, scan, and more from the companion app.

You guessed it—HP OfficeJet 250 is an all-in-one printer. It can print, scan, and copy from a ten-page automatic document feeder with up to 50 sheets of overall paper capacity. This printer can push up to seven pages per minute (ppm) in colour and ten ppm in black and white.

When it’s running on batteries, this number drops slightly to 6 ppm in colour and 9 ppm in black and white. But don’t worry, the external battery can last up to 90 minutes of printing, which isn’t bad at all.

HP OfficeJet 250 also boasts a 2.65-inch colour touchscreen and a user-friendly interface for quick menu selection.

Now, how about the printing speed? Surprisingly, both printing and scanning are fast for an inkjet printer in its price range. It can print 15 black and white ppm and 10 ppm in colour. However, it’s two-side printing function isn’t the fastest.

Canon PIXMA TS9520 has a 35-sheet document feeder and an attractive five-inch colour touchscreen for easy navigation. Overall, we think Canon PIXMA TS9520 is a solid choice when it comes to Apple AirPrint printers for home use.
